			    Intro Translation v0.6.1

		       Special release for FutureDisk 50

This is a slightly modified version of the patch that was released on FD50

[ ----- [ Version ] ---------------------------------------------------------- ]
This is the 3rd release (after initial 0.5 and 0.6 releases).

[ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ]

[ ----- [ Introduction ] ----------------------------------------------------- ]

From the Dream Team that brought you Project Melancholia (the SD Snatcher
re-translation), comes the huge new translation project of Burai, a hidden
Japanese gem for the MSX2. This is our very first announcement, timed to
coincide with the release of FutureDisk 50. Stay tuned for more information
about the translation - and don't forget to come to MSX2GOTO40 where additional
details may be revealed!

Also, be sure to read the article about the Burai translation in the magazine
section of this 50th edition of FutureDisk!

Please note: this is still a work in progress, so the final version might
differ (slightly) from this one!

[ ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- ]

[ ----- [ Features ] --------------------------------------------------------- ]

 - Translated all intro texts.
 - Completely rewrote the in-game print subroutines in order to support a new
   lowercase variable-width font.
 - Changed text rendering from character-based to pixel-based.
 - Added features such as automatic text centering, text shifting, and more.
 - Added support for multi-colored texts.
 - Re-synchronized speech and text-bound animations and delays to better match
   the English text flow.
 - Recreated all in-game compressors to allow modification of GFX and data and
   re-compression back into the game.
 - Translated graphical elements where necessary.
 - Added a dictionary-style English translation of the game's title in the title
   screen ('Burai' translates to 'Vagabond(s)')
 - The turbo mode is enabled by default on Panasonic FS-A1FX/WX/WSX,
   Turbo-R ST/GT, and CIEL Expert 3 (MSX2.0 Turbo / MSX2+ Turbo) computers.

[ ----- [ How to apply this patch ] ------------------------------------------ ]

1. FutureDisk 50 includes a built-in patcher for this game, located directly on
the FD50 disk. It is specifically designed to patch MSX floppy disks with IPS
   files.

2. This patch is in the IPS format. That means you need to apply it with an IPS
patch program. There are many programs to choose from. On a regular MSX you
can use IPS4MSX.COM. Lunar IPS or IPS.EXE for instance do the job nicely on
PCs. Mac users can apply the patch with a program like UIPS. But there are
many other suitable programs. If you're planning to play the translated
version on openMSX you don't need to patch your DSK at all. This emulator
supports soft patching. See the openMSX documentation for details on using
   patches in this way.

3. Make a dump of Burai disk 1. If you don't know how to do this or if you don't
have the equipment to do it yourself AND own the original disk, then you can
get a .DSK file available on the internet. Be sure you use the patch on a
clean dump though. Any changes made to the DSK file, such as an applied
cheat, might result in undesirable side-effects after patching. Make a backup
of the dumped DSK file just in case.

4. Place the IPS program, this patch and disk 1 of Burai in the same
directory. Apply the IPS patch to the disk.
